The Reserve Bank of India’s Reference Rate for the US Dollar is ₹ 66.0605 on August 27, 2015. The corresponding rate for the previous day (August 26, 2015) was ₹ 66.1610. Monitoring Foreign Investment under PIS in Indian Companies : M/s Hathway Cable & Datacom Limited removed from Ban List
The Reserve Bank of India today notified that Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs)/Registered Foreign Portfolios Investors (RFPIs) can now purchase shares of M/s Hathway Cable & Datacom Limited. The investments can go up to 74 per cent (revised from earlier limit of 49 per cent stipulated under Foreign Direct Investment policy) of the company’s paid up capital through GDR/ADR/FDI under the Portfolio Investment Scheme (PIS) in primary market and stock exchanges.

RBI launches FCTRS module on e-Biz Platform to facilitate FDI Reporting
The Reserve Bank of India today launched a module for reporting Foreign Currency Transfer of Shares (FCTRS) on eBiz portal of the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India.
