Lending and Deposit Rates of Scheduled Commercial Banks - September 2022
Data on lending and deposit rates of scheduled commercial banks (SCBs) (excluding regional rural banks and small finance banks) for the month of September 2022. Highlights Lending Rates: The weighted average lending rate (WALR) on fresh rupee loans of SCBs increased by 15 basis points (bps) from 8.18 per cent in July 2022 to 8.33 per cent in August 2022. The WALR on outstanding rupee loans of SCBs increased by 14 bps from 8.99 per cent to 9.13 per cent in August 2022.
Data on lending and deposit rates of scheduled commercial banks (SCBs) (excluding regional rural banks and small finance banks) for the month of September 2022. Highlights Lending Rates: The weighted average lending rate (WALR) on fresh rupee loans of SCBs increased by 15 basis points (bps) from 8.18 per cent in July 2022 to 8.33 per cent in August 2022. Prompt Corrective Action Framework - Central Bank of India
The performance of the Central Bank of India, currently under the Prompt Corrective Action Framework (PCAF) of RBI, was reviewed by the Board for Financial Supervision. It was noted that as per the assessed figures of the bank for the year ended March 31, 2022, the bank is not in the breach of the PCA parameters. The bank has provided a written commitment that it would comply with the norms of Minimum Regulatory Capital, Net NPA and Leverage ratio on an ongoing basis

Report of the Regulations Review Authority (RRA 2.0)
Regulations Review Authority (RRA 2.0) was set-up by the Reserve Bank of India vide press release dated April 15, 2021, with the objective of reducing the compliance burden on Regulated Entities (REs) by streamlining the regulatory instructions and rationalising reporting requirements. The RRA 2.0 has since submitted its report containing final set of recommendations. The report is based on the extensive consultations with both internal as well as external stakeholder
