Fifth Tranche of Sovereign Gold Bonds to open on September 01, 2016
The Reserve Bank of India, in consultation with the Government of India, has decided to issue fifth tranche of Sovereign Gold Bonds. Applications for the bond will be accepted from September 01, 2016 to September 09, 2016. The Bonds will be issued on September 23, 2016. The Bonds will be sold through banks, Stock Holding Corporation of India Limited (SHCIL), designated post offices, and recognised stock exchanges viz., National Stock Exchange of India Limited and Bomb

Sovereign Gold Bonds Scheme, 2016 -17 - Series II - Issue Price
In terms of GoI notification F.No. 4(7)-W&M/2016 and RBI circular IDMD.CDD. No.462/14.04.050/2016-17 dated August 29, 2016, the Sovereign Gold Bond Scheme will be open for subscription for the period from September 01 to 09, 2016. The issue price of the Sovereign Gold Bond for this tranche has been fixed at ₹ 3150/- (Rupees Three Thousand One Hundred Fifty only) per gram of gold. The rate has been fixed on the basis of simple average of closing price for gold of 9

Authorisation to operate as a Bharat Bill Payment Operating Unit (BBPOU)

RBI identifies SBI and ICICI Bank as D-SIBs in 2016
The Reserve Bank of India has identified State Bank of India (SBI) and ICICI Bank as Domestic Systemically Important Banks (D-SIBs) in 2016 and has retained their bucketing structure as it was last year. The additional Common Equity Tier 1 (CET1) requirement for these banks has already been phased-in from April 1, 2016 and would become fully effective from April 1, 2019. The additional CET1 requirement will be in addition to the capital conservation buffer. The update
