RBI to Issue New Design ₹ 100 Denomination Banknote
The Reserve Bank of India will shortly issue ₹ 100 denomination banknotes in the Mahatma Gandhi (New) Series, bearing signature of Dr. Urjit R. Patel, Governor, Reserve Bank of India. The new denomination has Motif of “RANI KI VAV” on the reverse, depicting the country’s cultural heritage. The base colour of the note is Lavender. RBI Directions issued to Navodaya Urban Co-operative Bank Ltd, Nagpur, Maharashtra further extended upto October 15, 2018
The Reserve Bank of India has extended the Directions earlier issued to Navodaya Urban Co-operative Bank Ltd, Nagpur for further three months. The Directions are now valid up to October 15, 2018, subject to review. The Directions were imposed in exercise of powers vested in the Reserve Bank under sub section (1) of Section 35A of the Banking Regulation Act, 1949 (AACS).
