आज, रिज़र्व बैंक ने पहली बार अपने द्विमासिक ग्रामीण उपभोक्ता विश्वास सर्वेक्षण (आरसीसीएस)1 2 के परिणाम जारी किए हैं। यह सर्वेक्षण सितंबर 2023 से नियमित आधार पर किया जा रहा है। प्रत्येक दौर में सर्वेक्षण का लक्ष्य सभी भारतीय राज्यों और तीन प्रमुख केन्द्र शासित प्रदेशों (यूटी)3 के 9,000 ग्रामीण और अर्द्ध शहरी परिवारों को शामिल करना है। यह सर्वेक्षण ग्रामीण और अर्ध-शहरी4 क्षेत्रों में रहने वाले परिवारों की सामान्य आर्थिक स्थिति, रोजगार परिदृश्य, समग्र मूल्य स्थिति, स्वयं की आय और व्यय पर वर्तमान धारणाएं (एक वर्ष पहले की तुलना में) और एक वर्ष आगे की अपेक्षाओं को एकत्रित करता है। यह सर्वेक्षण परिवारों की वर्तमान मुद्रास्फीति धारणा और आगामी वर्ष के लिए उनकी अपेक्षाओं के बारे में भी जानकारी एकत्र करता है। सर्वेक्षण का नवीनतम दौर 1-10 मार्च, 2025 के दौरान आयोजित किया गया था, जिसमें कुल 8,964 वैध प्रतिक्रियाएँ शामिल थी। इस सर्वेक्षण की नमूना पद्धति, कवरेज और अन्य संबंधित जानकारी का विवरण देने वाला एक लेख आरबीआई बुलेटिन के आगामी अंक में प्रकाशित किया जाएगा। मुख्य विशेषताएँ:

वर्तमान अवधि के लिए ग्रामीण उपभोक्ता विश्वास में पिछले दो दौर में सुधार हुआ है; सर्वेक्षण के मार्च 2025 के दौर में सभी मापदंडों में व्यापक सुधार के कारण वर्तमान स्थिति सूचकांक (सीएसआई)5 में वृद्धि हुई है और यह आशावादी क्षेत्र में चला गया है (चार्ट 1; टेबल 1, 2, 3, 5, 6 और 9)।

जैसा की भविष्य की अपेक्षा सूचकांक (एफईआई) द्वारा प्रदर्शित है एक वर्ष आगे के परिदृश्य में आशावाद बरक़रार है तथा नवीनतम सर्वेक्षण दौर में इसमें और सुधार दर्ज किया गया है (चार्ट 1; टेबल 9)।

सर्वेक्षण के वर्तमान दौर में कीमतों और मुद्रास्फीति में वृद्धि की अपेक्षा करने वाले ग्रामीण परिवारों की हिस्सेदारी में दोनों अवधियों के लिए गिरावट आई है (टेबल 3 और 4)।

परिणामस्वरूप, मुद्रास्फीति के बारे में परिवारों की वर्तमान धारणा पिछले दौर की तुलना में 40 आधार अंकों की कमी के साथ मार्च 2025 में 6.6 प्रतिशत हो गई। आगामी वर्ष के लिए उनकी मुद्रास्फीति की अपेक्षाएँ भी 30 आधार अंकों से घटकर 9.3 प्रतिशत हो गईं है (टेबल 12)।
