Reserve Bank Cancels the Licence of The Merchants’ Co-operative Bank Ltd., Dhule (Maharashtra)
In view of the fact that The Merchants’ Co-operative Bank Ltd., Dhule (Maharashtra), had ceased to be solvent, all efforts to revive it in close consultation with the Government of Maharashtra had failed and the depositors were being inconvenienced by continued uncertainty, the Reserve Bank of India [RBI] delivered the order cancelling its licence to the bank and the same is effective from the close of business as on August 30, 2014. RBI extends the Validity Period of Directions on Mirzapur Urban Co-operative Bank Ltd., Mirzapur
The Reserve Bank of India has notified that the validity period of directions imposed on Mirzapur Urban Co-operative Bank Ltd., Mirzapur, Uttar Pradesh as on February 11, 2014 has been extended further as per modified directive dated July 31, 2014 for a period of one month i.e. from August 12, 2014 to September 11, 2014, subject to review.
