State Bank of Indore branches to operate as State Bank of India branches from August 26, 2010 and not from August 27, 2010
All the branches of State Bank of Indore will function as branches of the State Bank of India from August 26, 2010 and not August 27, 2010 as mentioned in the Reserve Bank press release no 287 issued on August 24, 2010. This is due to the fact that the Order of Acquisition will be effective on and from the close of business on August 25, 2010 and not August 26, 2010 as announced earlier. All branches of State Bank of Indore will function as branches of State Bank of India from August 27, 2010. Customers, including depositors of State Bank of Indore will be able to operate their accounts as customers of State Bank of India with effect from August 27, 2010. RBI and 926 branches of Banks to accept Advance Income Tax
As many as 926 computerised branches of public and private sector banks will receive advance income tax in Mumbai and Navi Mumbai. These arrangements have been made for the convenience of the income tax assesses. Of the 926 bank branches 862 branches are public sector bank branches, 35 HDFC bank branches, 10 ICICI bank branches and 19 AXIS bank branches. ICICI Bank Ltd. - Penalised
The Reserve Bank of India has imposed a penalty of Rs.5.00 lakh (Rupees Five Lakh only) on ICICI Bank Ltd., in exercise of powers vested in it under the provisions of Section 47(A)(1)(b) read with Section 46(4) of the Banking Regulation Act, 1949 for violation of the guidelines on Know Your Customer (KYC)/Anti Money Laundering (AML) standards issued by Reserve Bank of India November 24, 2004. Base Rate System from July 1, 2010: RBI
It has been decided that the Base Rate system would be introduced from July 1, 2010. RBI and 926 branches of Banks to accept Advance Income Tax
As many as 926 computerised branches of public and private sector banks will receive advance income tax in Mumbai and Navi Mumbai. These arrangements have been made for the convenience of the income tax assesses. Of the 926 bank branches 862 branches are public sector bank branches, 35 HDFC bank branches, 10 ICICI bank branches and 19 AXIS bank branches. RBI and 926 branches of Banks to accept Advance Income Tax
As many as 926 computerised branches of public and private sector banks will receive advance income tax in Mumbai and Navi Mumbai. These arrangements have been made for the convenience of the income tax assesses. Of the 926 bank branches 862 branches are public sector bank branches, 35 HDFC bank branches, 10 ICICI bank branches and 19 AXIS bank branches. RBI Releases "A Profile of Banks : 2007-08"
The Reserve Bank of India today released its publication “A Profile of Banks 2007-08”. RBI and 965 branches of Banks to accept Advance Income Tax
As many as 965 computerised branches of public and private sector banks will receive advance income tax in Mumbai and Navi Mumbai. These arrangements have been made for the convenience of the income tax assesses. Of the 965 bank branches 900 branches are public sector bank branches, 36 HDFC bank branches, 10 ICICI bank branches and 19 AXIS bank branches. State Bank of Saurashtra branches operate as
State Bank of India branches from August 13, 2008
All the branches of State Bank of Saurashtra will now function as branches of State Bank of India. Customers, including depositors, of State Bank of Saurashtra will be able to operate their accounts as customers of State Bank of India.The Government of India has issued the Acquisition of State Bank of Saurashtra Order 2008. Accordingly, the notification dated August 13, 2008 issued by Government of India was published in the Gazette of India under Extraordinary Part I
