RBI Seeks Comments on Draft Guidelines for setting up of and operating Trade Receivables Discounting System (TReDS)
The Reserve Bank of India has today sought feedback on the Draft Guidelines for setting up of and operating Trade Receivables Discounting System (TReDS). RBI invites comments on draft guidelines for allowing partial credit enhancements to corporate bonds
The Reserve Bank of India today released draft circular on allowing partial credit enhancements to corporate bonds and invited comments/feedback on it. The Reserve Bank of India has appealed to income tax assessees to remit their income tax dues sufficiently in advance of the due date. It has also stated that assessees can use alternate channels like select branches of agency banks or the facility of online payment of taxes offered by these banks. Receipt of applications for new bank licence in the private sector closes on July 1, 2013
The RBI issued a Press Release on June 24, 2013 stating that all offices of Reserve Bank of India situated in Mumbai and Navi Mumbai will remain closed for public transactions on July 1, 2013 to facilitate Annual Closing of RBI’s Accounts. It is clarified that the Reserve Bank of India would receive applications for new bank licence on July 1, 2013. Accordingly intending applicants for setting up new banks in the private sector can submit their applications upto 17.45

RBI and 926 branches of Banks to accept Advance Income Tax
As many as 926 computerised branches of public and private sector banks will receive advance income tax in Mumbai and Navi Mumbai. These arrangements have been made for the convenience of the income tax assesses.
