30 જૂન 2016 વર્ષ 2005 પૂર્વેની બેંકનોટોનો 1 જુલાઈ 2016 થી રિઝર્વ બેંકના પસંદ કરેલા કાર્યાલયોમાં વિનિમય ભારતીય રિઝર્વ બેંકેનું અવલોકન છે કે વર્ષ 2005 પહેલાની બેંકનોટોનો એક મોટો ભાગ પ્રસરણમાંથી પાછો ખેંચાઈ ગયો છે અને જૂજ પ્રતિશત નોટો હજી પણ પ્રસરણમાં રહેલી છે. આથી સમીક્ષા કરવા પર રિઝર્વ બેંકે એ નિર્ણય લીધો છે કે 1 જુલાઈ 2016થી વર્ષ 2005 પૂર્વેની બેંકનોટો ને બદલવાની સુવિધા કેવળ નીચે જણાવેલા રિઝર્વ બેંકના કાર્યાલયોમાં જ ઉપલબ્ધ થશે: અમદાવાદ, બેંગલુરુ, બેલાપુર, ભોપાલ, ભુવ

ભારતીય રિઝર્વ બેંક સાર્વજનિક લેણદેણો માટે 1 જુલાઈ 2016 ના રોજ કાર્ય કરશે
28 જૂન 2016 ભારતીય રિઝર્વ બેંક સાર્વજનિક લેણદેણો માટે 1 જુલાઈ 2016 ના રોજ કાર્ય કરશે સમીક્ષા કરવા પર અને બજારની લેણદેણોના સમાધાનની સુવિધા માટે તથા સામાન્ય જનતાની લેણદેણોમાં સહાયતા પ્રદાન કરવાના હેતુથી ભારતીય રિઝર્વ બેંકે નિર્ણય લીધો છે કે રિઝર્વ બેંક 1 જુલાઈ 2016 ના રોજ સાર્વજનિક લેણદેણો માટે ખુલ્લી રહેશે. સામાન્ય રીતે, રિઝર્વ બેંક તેના વાર્ષિક હિસાબી સમાપનને કારણે 1 જુલાઈ ના રોજ સાર્વજનિક લેણદેણો માટે બંધ રહેતી હોય છે. રિઝર્વ બેંકનું હિસાબી વર્ષ જુલાઈ થી જૂન સુધીનું
