Issue of ` 10 Banknotes with inset letter 'P' and with signature of Dr. D. Subbarao, Governor
The Reserve Bank of India will shortly issue ` 10 denomination Banknotes with inset letter 'P', in the Mahatma Gandhi Series bearing the signature of Dr. D. Subbarao, Governor, Reserve Bank of India, and the year of printing on the reverse of the Banknote. The design of these notes to be issued now is similar in all respects to the Banknotes in Mahatma Gandhi Series 2005 issued earlier. RBI cautions Public Once Again against Fictitious Offers
The Reserve Bank of India has today reiterated that it never contacts the public via unsolicited phone calls or emails asking for money or any other type of personal information. The Reserve Bank does not maintain/give money/foreign currency or any other type of funds to individual or opens accounts for/in the name of individuals. Complain to Local Police/Cyber Crime Authorities against Fictitious Offers of Money from Abroad
The Reserve Bank of India has today advised members of public to immediately register a complaint with the local police/cyber crime authorities when they receive fictitious offers of money from abroad or if they are victims of such offers. It has also placed, on its website, the list of such nodal agencies with whom the public can register complaints.
