Today, the Reserve Bank of India released its web publication entitled ‘Statistical Tables relating to Banks in India: 2024-25’ covering the activities of the Indian banking sector. 2. The publication presents entity-wise information on major items of liabilities and assets along with their maturity profile; income and expenses; select financial ratios, number of employees and details of priority sector advances for scheduled commercial banks (excluding regional rural banks). In addition, capital to risk weighted asset ratios (CRARs), non-performing assets (NPAs), exposure to sensitive sectors, contingent liabilities and unclaimed deposits are included. State wise distribution of consolidated balance sheet of rural co-operative banks are also presented.

Today, the Reserve Bank released the results1 of the fifteenth round of its biennial survey on foreign collaboration in Indian industry (FCS) covering the financial years 2023-24 and 2024-25. This survey captures information on financial parameters and operations of the Indian companies having technical collaboration with foreign companies during the reference period, as per the attached schedule. In the latest survey round, 601 foreign technical collaboration (FTC) agreements were reported by 255 Indian entities, of which, 163 entities had participated in the previous survey round.

Today, the Reserve Bank released data relating to India’s International Investment Position for end-June 2025[1]. Key Features of India’s IIP in end-June 2025: • Net claims of non-residents on India declined by US$ 16.4 billion during Q1:2025-26 and stood at US$ 312.8 billion as at end-June 2025. It was mainly due to higher rise in Indian residents’ overseas financial assets (US$ 47.8 billion) as compared to the foreign-owned assets in India (US$ 31.4 billion) (Table 1).

Today, the Reserve Bank released the results of 2024-25 round of its survey on international trade in banking services (ITBS). This annual survey focuses on cross-border fund-based banking services (e.g., deposits, credit) as well as financial auxiliary services with explicit/implicit fees/commissions charged by foreign branches/ subsidiaries (including joint ventures) of Indian banks as well as foreign banks operating in India (details of the services are given in the Annex). The latest round of the survey covers 13 Indian banks having overseas branches/subsidiaries and 44 foreign banks having branches/subsidiaries in India.

The 27th edition in the series offers detailed time-series data on the Indian economy. The survey collects current perceptions and one year ahead expectations of households on general economic situation, employment scenario, overall price situation, own income and spending from the households residing in the rural and semi-urban areas across 31 states/ UTs viz., Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Goa, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, NCT of Delhi, Odisha, Punjab, Rajasthan, Sikkim, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Tripura, Union Territory of Ladakh, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and West Bengal.
