साख सूचना साझा करने के लिए नई नीतिगत पहल - आर गांधी

2. रिज़र्व बैंक द्वारा भारत में साख सूचना ब्यूरो स्थापित करने की संभावनाओं का पता लगाने के लिए वर्ष 1999 में गठित कार्यदल (अध्यक्ष: एन.एच.सिद्दीकी), जिसका एक सदस्य होने का सौभाग्य मुझे भी था, की सिफारिशों के परिणामस्वरूप साख सूचना कंपनियों (सीआईसी) की स्थापना की गई थी। सिबिल ऐसी पहली कंपनी थी। साख सूचना कंपनी (विनियमन) अधिनियम (सीआईसीआरए) 2005 से लागू किया गया।
